Branden Jacobs‑Jenkins’s contemporary retelling of Everyman , the medieval morality play where one human is called by Death to begin a journey toward judgment. In this adaptation, a nightly casting lottery determines which archetypal “somebody” will take on that role, as Everybody asks what we carry with us at the end of life.
