Ken Ludwig’s The Game’s Afoot; or Holmes for the Holidays
It’s December 1936, and Broadway star William Gillette, famous for playing Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a holiday weekend. But the celebration takes a deadly turn when one of the guests is murdered. Gillette assumes the role of his famous detective and sets out to uncover the killer before another victim is claimed. Part murder mystery, part holiday comedy, and packed with theatrical chaos, secret motives, twists and plenty of laughs, The Game’s Afoot is a fast-moving whodunit where nearly everyone has something to hide.
