Hairspray

Big hair. Big heart. Big fun. The 1950s are out, and change is in the air! Hairspray, winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, is a family-friendly musical, piled bouffant-high with laughter, romance and deliriously tuneful songs. Follow Tracy Turnblad, a big‑dreaming teen with even bigger hair, as she shakes up a TV dance show, challenges the status quo, and proves that everyone deserves their moment under the lights. With its candy‑colored style, Motown‑inspired grooves, and feel‑good finale, Hairspray is pure retro dynamite. The beats are catchy, the skirts are full, and change is dancing its way into the spotlight. Hairspray bursts onto the TexARTS stage with infectious music, knockout choreography, and a message that’s as joyful as it is powerful.
