Born With Teeth

An aging ruler, an oppressive police state, a restless polarized people seething with paranoia: it’s a dangerous time for poets. In the back room of a pub, Christopher Marlowe and William Shakespeare meet to collaborate on a history play cycle. As they work, they must also confront the dangers of creating art under authoritarian rule as their partnership quickly becomes a volatile mix of rivalry and attraction. Don’t miss the Detroit premiere of Born With Teeth by Liz Duffy Adams, presented by Detroit Mercy Theatre Company.
