The Legend of Georgia McBride

The Legend of Georgia McBride is a comedy by Matthew López about a young, broke Elvis impersonator named Casey in a rundown Florida bar who, after losing his job and discovering his wife is pregnant, is forced to trade his blue suede shoes for drag queen attire to make ends meet, leading to a journey of self-discovery, found family, and reinvention. The play is known for its humor, heart, and uplifting celebration of self-expression, and exploring themes of identity, family, and performance featuring music but not being a traditional musical.
